2. Physical properties:
Electrolytic manganese metal is the elemental metal precipitated by acid leaching manganese salt from manganese ore and then sending it to an electrolytic cell. Appearance like iron, irregular flake, firm and brittle, one side bright, the other side rough, silver-white to brown, silver gray after processing for powder
Electrolytic Metal Manganese is easy to be oxidize in air, dissolves and displaces hydrogen when it meets dilute acid, and can decompose water and release hydrogen when it is slightly higher than room temperature.
3. Refinning Methods of Electrolytic Metal Manganese:
Electrolytic manganese is made of electrolytic manganese by electrosilicon thermal method or electrolytic remelting method. Now, electrolysis has become the main way of manganese production.
The purity of manganese metal produced by thermal method (manganese metal) is not more than 95 ~ 98%, while the purity of manganese metal prepared by electrolytic method (electrolytic manganese metal), can reach 99.7 ~ 99.9%.
